Recommendation for colorist in Oregon/Washington

Hello Group -

I currently have a small butterfly with a mean smile and WWII bomber
goggles on my bicep, but I want it added to - big time. I'm planning a
"flock" of photorealistic-looking butterflies in a swarm as a
half-sleeve (or maybe a full sleeve - never know how it might turn
out). Lots of overlapping, many different species, very intense color.
I've done a lot of legwork collecting jpgs of sample butterflies, and
now need to find the best colorist available. My former artist (Mark
at Electric Rose in Olympia) is gone, so I'm seeking recommendations.

I live in Portland Oregon, but am willing to travel anywhere in the
Northwest for the right shop. Multiple visits to plan the custom
design will most likely be required, so I'm seeking a real creative
artist, not just a great tattoo artist.

From this list, I've culled recommendations for London Bellman @
Atomic, Vyvyn Lazonga @ Seattle Dermagraphics, and Mary Jane Haake @
Dermagraphics. I like the color on Vyvyn's site along with her
philosophy, and she looks like my first choice.

I used to live in San Diego, and Fip was my choice there - anyone else
of that caliber around here?

Thanks,
NAT

it's MY list.

if you think someone should be on it, send me a link to or photos
of their work, as requested by the header information.

i don't pick "the best artist in the state" to approve - i only
pick the best artists period. so if no one in oregon makes the grade, no
one is listed for oregon.
